i wanted to get back to my roots and do a darkwave/shoegaze-influenced album as a tribute to many of the bands i was listening to in the late 90's and early 2000's like the cure, autumn's grey solace, and faith and the muse. but elements of some newer stuff i'd been listening to like palms, boris, and if these trees could talk influenced just as much of this album. i also dragged some skeletons out of the closet - some stuff i had yet to move on from. this album was a way for me to deal with the things i was still holding onto from my past. as usual, the vocals are rubbish. but in the end, i'm just a guy making music for fun - as an outlet. if you love it -great. if you hate it - great. i can live with either outcome. but it's my hope that maybe one or two people might find something they like on this album.
